What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect names, emails, IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or any other personal data — except the email you voluntarily give to subscribe to our newsletter, which is the one and only exception below.
Asmaverse is privacy-first by design, not by configuration. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking pixels. Most features are computed in your browser and forgotten. The exceptions are explicit and opt-in.

Nothing. We do not collect names, emails, IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or any other personal data — except the email you voluntarily give to subscribe to our newsletter, which is the one and only exception below.
There are no analytics scripts on this site. We do not run Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, Mixpanel, or any equivalent. We genuinely do not know how many people visit Asmaverse, which pages they read, or what they do here.
The only cookie we set is `NEXT_LOCALE`, used to remember your language choice (English/Arabic/Indonesian/Urdu). Your favourites, memorisation progress, visit-streak, tasbih count, and Ramadan reflections are all stored in your browser's localStorage and never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data resets them.
Prayer Times, Qibla Locator, Closest Mosque, and Halal Food Nearby ask your browser for your coordinates. The browser hands them to the page, the page uses them to compute or fetch results, and then they are forgotten. We do not run a server that listens for or stores your location. Closest Mosque and Halal Food queries are sent directly from your browser to OpenStreetMap; Prayer Times to AlAdhan; Qibla calculation is purely client-side.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the email you enter with our newsletter provider only. We do not sell, rent, or share that list. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe. The newsletter contains no tracking pixels.
Pages that use external data make requests directly from your browser to: alquran.cloud (Quran verses + audio), mp3quran.net (recitation audio), aladhan.com (prayer times + Hijri date), overpass-api.de (OpenStreetMap mosque + halal food queries), nominatim.openstreetmap.org (city lookup for Qibla). These third parties may log incoming requests per their own policies. Asmaverse does not aggregate or store any of these.
Because nothing leaves your browser by default, there is no account to delete, no data export to request, and no support ticket needed to wipe yourself from the system. To remove every trace of Asmaverse from your device: clear localStorage and cookies for asmaverse.com (or asmaverse.vercel.app). Done.
Asmaverse is COPPA-compliant and GDPR-K-compliant by design — not because we filter children out, but because we collect nothing about anyone, regardless of age. There is no data subject access request to file because there is no data subject record. No consent banners, no cookie pop-ups, no “legitimate interest” bargaining.
The site is suitable for any reader. If you would like a more detailed compliance statement for an institutional partner (a masjid, a school, a Muslim-scout group, a charity), reach out via the contact page and we will happily prepare one.
Privacy posture is enforced in code, not just policy — see the Asmaverse repository on GitHub. If you spot any divergence between what is stated here and what the deployed site actually does, please let us know — we will fix it openly.
