Welcome — and the Bar We Set for Khutbahs
Welcome to the Asmaverse Friday Khutbah library.
This is the highest-stakes content on the platform. Khutbahs published here may be delivered from minbars to congregations around the world. Anything we publish carries forward into someone's Friday prayer — and into the lived practice of every person who hears it. The bar must therefore be set very high.
Every khutbah on this page goes through five steps before publication: a draft is written; a NAMED scholar with verifiable ijazah reads it end-to-end and signs off; every Quranic reference and hadith narration is verified against the canonical collection; we check the framing for tradition-neutrality (no taking sides in inter-school fiqh disputes); and we publish only with the reviewer's name and ijazah lineage shown on the page.
Without that pipeline, no khutbah is added — even one that 'looks fine'. The cost of a single bad citation or unintentional ruling delivered from a minbar is too high to absorb.
This welcome post is here to explain the bar before the library has any real weekly content. If you are a scholar with an ijazah willing to be the named reviewer for some or all weekly khutbahs, please reach out to the Asmaverse team. The first commitment we are looking for is one named reviewer who can read one khutbah a week.
Until that reviewer is onboarded, this library remains a single welcome post. The structure is in place; the content waits for the right pair of trained eyes.
